This policy explains how Mercado Cosmetics LLC, trading as Snufflo ("Snufflo", "we", "us"), collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit our store, buy from us or contact us. We are responsible for your personal information as described here.

Information we collect

Contact and order details: your name, email address, phone number, delivery and billing address, the items you order and your order history.
Payment information: payment method, transaction and confirmation details. Card details are handled by our payment providers. We do not see or store your full card number.
Account details: if you create an account, your login details and preferences.
Messages: what you send us when you contact customer support.
Device and usage information: IP address, device and browser type, approximate location, pages viewed, items added to your cart, and how you arrived at our store. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.

Where we get it

We collect information directly from you, automatically when you use the store, and from our service providers, such as payment, delivery and advertising partners.

How we use it

To process and deliver your order, take payment, and handle returns, refunds and support requests. We do this to perform our contract with you.
To prevent fraud and keep the store secure. We do this in our legitimate interests, and to meet legal obligations.
To run, measure and improve the store. We do this in our legitimate interests.
To send marketing emails or messages, where you have agreed to receive them or the law otherwise allows. You can unsubscribe at any time.
To show you relevant advertising on other websites and apps, such as Facebook and Instagram, based on how you use our store. Where the law requires your consent, we ask for it.
To comply with the law, tax and accounting rules, and to establish or defend legal claims.

Who we share it with

Shopify, which hosts our store and provides checkout, payments and related services. Shopify's own use of personal information is described in the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy.
Payment providers, such as those offered at checkout, to process payments and prevent fraud.
Fulfilment partners and carriers, to prepare and deliver your order.
Advertising and analytics partners, such as Meta, to measure and show our advertising.
Professional advisers and authorities, where needed for legal, tax or accounting purposes, or when the law requires it.
A buyer or successor, if our business is sold or reorganised.

We do not sell personal information for money. Under some US state laws, sharing information with advertising partners for targeted advertising may count as a "sale" or "sharing". You can opt out by emailing us at info@mercadocosmetics.com. We also honour Global Privacy Control signals where the law requires.

Cookies and similar technologies

We and our partners use cookies to make the store work, remember your cart, understand how the store is used, and measure and personalise advertising. Where a cookie banner is shown, you can choose which non-essential cookies to allow. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the store may not work without essential cookies.

International transfers

We are based in the United States, and our service providers operate in several countries. Your information may therefore be processed outside the country where you live. Where the law requires it, we use appropriate safeguards for these transfers, such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep order and transaction records for as long as tax, accounting and consumer laws require, usually up to seven years. We keep other information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, then delete or anonymise it.

Security

We use reputable service providers and take reasonable steps to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive information to us by email.

Your rights

delete it;
receive a copy in a portable format;

withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent; and
opt out of targeted advertising, or the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under some US state laws.

To use any of these rights, email us. We may need to confirm your identity first. We will not treat you differently for using your rights. Where the law allows, you can appeal our decision by replying to it.

Complaints: if you are unhappy with how we handle your information, please contact us first. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. In Australia, that is the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC). In the United Kingdom, it is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). In the European Union, it is the authority in your country.

Children

Our store is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date. Where the changes are significant, we will tell you in a way the law requires.
